Phil Vasser wrote a song called Just Another Day in Paradise. It's about life as a parent and as a spouse. My life is full of ups and downs, spills and frills. It's a life of sleepless nights and days with the kids running around coloring the windows and eating the crayons or playing the piano with chocolate pudding fingers. It's a life of moments that you want to remember forever but you worry you won't because you recently forgot to eat or go to the bathroom. It's a life of stolen kisses from your hubby as you lay in bed trying to keep the kids asleep as he gets up for work at 5:30. It's a life of sticky hands reaching for you for one more hug before naptime and pearly whites grinning back at you as you say "No" one more time to the baby eating cat food. It's a life that I don't ever want to trade in for anything, not even more sleep. It truly is a dream come true. Now, if I could only dream a little more.....
